Nico Del Benaco (Kemo) 1984-1997 Kemo is "in" most of the Spinone pedigrees in the US and Canada. Kemo was the best of the best! As several of the breeders from his lines had different CI (foreign) numbers for Kemo than Jim did, he visited Italy and obtained certified copies of his and other imports' pedigrees. These copies were used by AKC when they accepted the breed into the Foundation Stock in 2000. Kemo's lines are posted under this section.
SPINONI PLACEMENT POINTS OF CONTACT These volunteers have indicated that their desire is to help Spinone, so that none will be put to sleep again because of lack of response (usually noted on this site as "no longer available"). As none of the clubs any longer require health certifications for breeders, there will be more and more Spinone bred and "dumped".
Offers to Rescue or Foster Spinone Introductions by persons interested in rescuing or fostering spinone. More help will be needed in the future as none of the clubs now require any health certification. Please volunteer if you can help!

Rappahannock Chapter of NAVHDA The Rappahannock Chapter provides training and testing services using a proven, standard method of evaluating the performance of all versatile hunting dogs, consistent with North American hunting practices, regardless of breed. Our chapter conducts educational activities, training sessions, and sponsors NAVHDA sanctioned tests. Our goal is to help our members fully realize the potential of their versatile hunting dogs as companions and hunting partners. We emphasize hands-on training for the inexperienced to the seasoned handler. All of us learn from and help each other. We encourage all family members to participate at our events.
